Oh my goodness, Diana's burgers are incredibly good! Diana worked with her brother Chris Madrid for many years at his famous SA burger spot. After Chris passed away Diana opened her place and burger history is being repeated. Chris's place reopened with a new owner, but I think Diana's burgers are better. Her staff are all very nice and attentive and the atmosphere is casual and family friendly. You will be pleased!!
Diana's never disappoints. My family and I have been loyal to this restaurant since the transition, and how could you not with the great quality of food they produce. We went tonight and the line was from the register to the door, which is well deserved. Diana herself walks around, greets and talks to you and always makes it feel like a family environment. You have your choice of burgers, chalupas, nachos, and grilled chicken. We've done birthday and graduation parties, and Diana is always gracious with a root beer float. Don't pass this place up.
Great burgers, especially with bacon and extra cheese!!! Service is good, and everyone always seems to be having a great time several times I've gone! Prices are what they are these days!!
Came here for a bday dinner and Diana's does not disappoint! The burgers are huge! And I even ordered a grande, which basically means I went from a 4oz. Patty to an 8oz. Patty. I think. It may have been 2 4oz. Patties but I couldn't tell because there was so much cheese it didn't even matter! These burgers are some of the best burgers you will ever have, seriously. Greasy and juicy and so so so tasty. The place is unassuming from the outside but like many of those hole in the wall joints, the food is phenomenal! They have beer, they have margaritas! And a small food menu that is strictly burgers, aside from the nachos as appetizer. The line moves fast and everyone working was so friendly. It's hard to not have a smile at Diana's.
I will say this with all the love in the world. These are big, fat, beautiful & greasy burgers! They are a work of art, they are proud of their burger & aren't afraid to show you! The bun is soft & grilled for a buttery flavor, awesome. The lettuce is diced & green (thank you), not chunks of stem! The tomato is also diced & bright red, delicious! The meat is grilled to perfection & seasoned just right. I didn't get the glob of melted cheddar, but I did get American which is what I`m used to & prefer. Added some bacon for extra nutrients as well! The nice young lady was awesome. She`s patient & reads back your order to avoid any miscommunications! The parking does suck, but well worth it for the great food you will get!
We went the night before Thanksgiving because no one wanted to cook. My aunt and uncle have been before, but no one in my immediate family had been. My sister and I got the nachos and a turkey burger to share. The cheese burger was my aunt's meal but I wanted a picture of it. Even walking in when I've never been, it felt a little nostalgic like one of those places you've been going to all your life. The nachos were a little greasy but good; the turkey burger was good but could have used a special sauce or something more than just mayonnaise (I think it comes with mustard to but we got it without that). There's a few parking spots in front or a small lot across the street, so parking shouldn't be an issue. I don't live in San Antonio but I'd come back here next time I'm in town!
Tried the following and all was above expectations as far as taste, speed and staff's friendly service. Burgers Nachos Root beer/ big red floats Price for it all was: $$ fair if not less then what I expected. Will go here with more friends and family for sure
Well....very possibly the best burger in all of San Antonio!! Very simple menu...but if a burger is what you want you will not be disappointed!! Here's a secret, order a plain burger and order a chalupa with beans cheese and jalapeños...then slide the chalupa in the middle of the burger!! The best bean burger ever!!!
Reminded me of The original Chris Madrids burgers! Cheese was perfectly melted onto my burger. The meat was tasty, and the bun was nice and soft, very fresh tasting. I had bacon on my burger also. The choice of fountain drink vs. canned drinks was also nice. System to order was efficient. The burgers are ready pretty quickly. They hmxan accommodate large parties as well. There were lots of regulars in there when I visited. There is plenty of parking and I love the divey feel to the place. Diana is very friendly, as is her staff. Clean and homey feeling. Long live Diana's burgers.
